Grace and Ben

I learned that there’s an indoor farmer’s market at 6100 S. Blackstone Ave. tomorrow (Saturday) from 9 am until 2 pm. I’d like to check it out but I’m not sure how I’d get there (train, bus, or car?). Green City market also runs year round (indoors during the winter), but I don’t really like the Lincoln Park/ Old Town crowd. It may snow tomorrow which may make a great cozy indoor weekend!

Tonight I’m going to see Lulu at the Lyric Opera with Thea. We got $20 student tickets! I went once before with Ben but I fell asleep. I don’t have very high expections for Lulu, but it’s only a few blocks from my apartment and I like to support the arts (and Thea’s gonna give me a ride).

My experiments have been very successful at work recently so I’ll also be putting together a presentation to show my Ph. D. advisor to get feedback next week. I need to buy a chemical which costs $55 but ships from Germany (so it could take several weeks to get here) or $900 from Sigma Aldrich, which ships from Milwaukee and takes a day to arrive. The final decision lies with the guy who pays the bills… STAY TUNED FOR MORE FUN!
