Tonight, I am watching “The Good Wife,” a drama about a female lawyer on CBS. I watch it by myself because Ben thinks it’s silly. Last night, I watched “Last Man Standing” which is Tim Allen’s re-make of his 90s show “Home Improvement.” Ben said it’s a comedy about “gender roles” and I said “well, at least it’s about something. many TV shows aren’t about anything.” I am also looking forward to watching “Switched at Birth,” my ABC family drama.

Catching up on my TV shows
Thursday, January 12th, 2012More TV
Saturday, January 7th, 2012Yesterday evening, I watched the most recent episode of “Happy Endings,” an ABC show that I find kind of lame (and yet I keep up with it every week). I am feeling under the weather today (sore throat), so looking forward to some R&R. Maybe an episode of “Modern Family.” It’s kind of interesting to blog about my TV watching, but as you will soon see, I am very consistent about watching my shows before they expire on hulu.
TV shows
Thursday, January 5th, 2012I watch quite a few shows regularly even though I do not own a TV. Thanks to hulu and CBS.com I am able to keep up with my favorites. I enjoy coming home from work and unwinding with my knitting, my cat and my husband in front of the computer. My favorites include Survivor, Amazing Race (both CBS), The Good Wife (CBS), Top Chef (Bravo, episodes are available about 1 month after it airs), Glee (Fox), Parks and Recreation (NBC), and Modern Family (ABC).
Tonight, I will be watching “Switched at Birth” a relatively new show from the cable network ABC Family. I find it entertaining but somewhat overly dramatic.
Check, Please!
Friday, November 7th, 2008So I don’t forget, here are the restaurants reviewed on tonight’s episode and the panel’s recommendation:
Eleven City Diner: South Loop Jewish deli recommended by sheltered funeral director…panel thought it was a yuppy Manny’s. Maybe worth checking out for breakfast, but you can’t really beat Manny’s. It’s also in the South Loop, which is, eh, bustling.
Atwood Cafe: Loop contemporary American…panel thought it was nice to look at but food seemed like an afterthought. You’re paying for the overhead. Pre-theater for tourists.
Cafe Hoang: Chinatown Vietnamese, recommended by whiny Jew real estate developer who says it’s better than Argyle…panel thought it was fresh and cheap and quality and didn’t know there was a Chinatown in Chicago. Looks like great pho, and it’s BYOB. I appreciate the recommendation since it’s hard to know where to go in Chinatown.
